About this app

A game built on menko, the old Japanese card-flipping game. How many of your opponent’s cards can you turn over?

It was one of the games Japanese children played, from the Edo period through the Showa era. Take aim, put your weight behind it, and if their card turns face-up, the round is yours.

Up to four players on one device

Pass the device around and play on the same screen. No connection needed, and no second device either.

Playing alone, the CPU takes the other side. Choose from three levels: Easy, Normal and Hard.

Simple to play

Take aim, choose your power, strike. That is all there is to it. Try it with the little ones.

The cards tumble like the real thing — flipping over or getting knocked out depending on where you hit. No two throws are the same.

There are three ways to play.

  • Duel: Two players take five turns each. Flip your opponent’s card or knock it off the board while your own stays face-up, and you score.
  • Target Flip: Players take turns against a single target card. After five rounds, whoever flipped it most often wins.
  • Lucky Flip: Slam into a stack of scoring cards. Cards you flip and cards you knock off the board both count.

Collect the designs

There are 108 cards — creatures, folklore spirits, vehicles, single characters. Every card you collect becomes a partner for your next match.

Watch an advertising video to earn Points. Points can be exchanged for a Menko Pack, and each pack contains two cards.

Browse what you have collected in the Card Album. Cards you do not have yet appear as silhouettes.

Artwork of your own

Choose a few words, and artwork is drawn from that combination. Make a menko that exists nowhere else.

Use one Maker Ticket, and AI generates three designs for you to pick from.

Each design is checked by a person before it is delivered, so it can take a few minutes to arrive.
